EXPERIENCES

TRANSFORMATION
BEYOND THE
THERAPY ROOM.

Some forms of learning become possible when we step outside the familiar.

Retreats, workshops, groups, and destination experiences designed to create space for reflection, connection, exploration, and embodied change.

TRANSFORMATION IN A DIFFERENT SETTING

BEYOND THE FAMILIAR

SOMETIMES CHANGE NEEDS
A DIFFERENT KIND OF SPACE.

Stepping outside the routines of everyday life can create room to notice, reflect, connect, and experience ourselves differently.

Retreats, workshops, groups, and destination experiences can offer something that individual work does not always provide: time, environment, community, and shared intention.

A change in setting can interrupt familiar patterns and create space for a different kind of attention. Being in relationship with others can reveal new perspectives. Intentional practices can deepen awareness. Time away from ordinary demands can make it easier to listen to what has been overlooked.

The setting itself is not what creates transformation. But the conditions we create can make certain kinds of reflection, connection, and learning more possible.

These experiences are designed to bring together psychological insight, contemplative practice, meaningful conversation, embodied exploration, and time for integration—without assuming that everyone follows the same path.

THE ENVIRONMENT DOES NOT DO THE WORK FOR US.
IT CAN HELP CREATE THE CONDITIONS IN WHICH THE WORK BECOMES POSSIBLE.

Sometimes we understand ourselves differently when we encounter ourselves somewhere new.

WAYS TO EXPERIENCE THE WORK

DIFFERENT FORMATS. A SHARED INTENTION.

EXPERIENCES CAN TAKE
DIFFERENT FORMS.

Some are immersive. Some are focused. Some are shaped by place.
Each creates a different container for reflection, connection, and change.
RETREATS

Step away from the usual rhythm.

Retreats create dedicated time and space for deeper reflection, rest, conversation, contemplative practice, embodied exploration, and integration.
The intention is not escape. It is to create enough distance from ordinary demands that something new can be noticed, experienced, or practiced more fully.
WORKSHOPS & GROUPS

Learn in relationship with others.
Workshops and groups offer focused spaces for psychological exploration, practical learning, shared reflection, and experiential practice.
Some may center on relationships, personal growth, creativity, integration, contemplative practice, or other themes relevant to the Transforma approach.
DESTINATION EXPERIENCES

Let place become part of the container.
Certain experiences are shaped intentionally around location—natural environments, culturally meaningful places, and settings that invite a different pace of attention.
Destination experiences may combine reflection, community, contemplative practice, learning, and time for integration within a thoughtfully designed environment.
THE FORMAT MAY CHANGE.

THE INTENTION REMAINS THE SAME:

TO CREATE CONDITIONS FOR MEANINGFUL EXPERIENCE AND EMBODIED CHANGE.

THE EXPERIENCE IS PART OF THE WORK

AN INTEGRATIVE APPROACH

WHAT HAPPENS AROUND THE EXPERIENCE
CAN MATTER AS MUCH AS THE EXPERIENCE ITSELF.

Meaningful experiences do not happen in isolation. The environment, the people around us, the questions we bring, and what we do afterward can all shape what an experience becomes.

An experience can interrupt the familiar. It can reveal something we had not noticed, create a different perspective, deepen connection, or invite us into a new relationship with ourselves and others.

But insight alone does not necessarily create lasting change.

Transforma experiences are designed with attention to the larger arc of transformation—from creating the conditions for meaningful exploration to reflecting on what emerges and considering how it might be carried forward into everyday life.

The intention is not simply to have an extraordinary experience.

It is to create something that can continue to matter after the experience is over.
SPACE
Creating the conditions for attention.
Stepping outside familiar environments and routines can make room for a different quality of presence.

CONNECTION
Encountering ourselves in relationship.
Community, conversation, shared experience, and meaningful human connection can reveal perspectives we may not discover alone.

REFLECTION
Making space for what emerges.
Reflection helps us notice emotions, questions, insights, patterns, and possibilities without rushing to conclusions.

EMBODIMENT
Moving from understanding into experience.
Contemplative, creative, relational, and embodied practices can help us explore new ways of responding and being.

INTEGRATION
Bringing something home.
The work continues when insight begins to influence our relationships, choices, practices, priorities, and everyday lives.
SPACE → CONNECTION → REFLECTION → EMBODIMENT → INTEGRATION

THE EXPERIENCE MAY CREATE AN OPENING.

INTEGRATION HELPS US DECIDE
WHAT WE DO WITH IT.

Transformation becomes meaningful when something discovered in one moment begins to influence the way we live beyond it.

RETREATS

IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCES

STEP OUT OF THE ROUTINE.
MAKE SPACE FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT.

Sometimes depth requires something everyday life does not easily provide: uninterrupted time.

Retreats create an intentional pause from familiar routines, responsibilities, and environments. With more time and fewer competing demands, there can be greater space for reflection, connection, restorative practice, meaningful conversation, and exploration.

Transforma retreats may bring together psychological perspectives with contemplative, somatic, creative, symbolic, and experiential practices. Depending on the focus of a particular retreat, experiences may include guided reflection, meditation, breathwork, movement, group dialogue, time in nature, creative exploration, and opportunities for individual contemplation.

The purpose is not to fill every moment.

Space for rest, silence, spontaneity, connection, and integration can be just as important as structured programming.

A retreat might explore themes such as:

PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION
Identity, transition, patterns, meaning, and the person you are becoming.

RELATIONSHIPS & CONNECTION
Communication, intimacy, vulnerability, belonging, and how we meet one another.

CONSCIOUSNESS & CONTEMPLATIVE PRACTICE
Attention, awareness, meditation, embodiment, and different ways of encountering experience.

CREATIVITY & EXPRESSION
Imagination, symbolic exploration, creative process, and bringing inner experience into form.

INTEGRATION & EMBODIED CHANGE
Translating meaningful insight and experience into practices and choices that can continue beyond the retreat.
A RETREAT IS NOT ABOUT
LEAVING YOUR LIFE BEHIND.

IT IS ABOUT CREATING ENOUGH SPACE
TO RETURN TO IT DIFFERENTLY.

What matters is not only what happens while we are away, but what becomes possible when we return.
Workshops, Retreats, Groups

WORKSHOPS & GROUPS

LEARNING IN RELATIONSHIP

SOME THINGS BECOME CLEARER
WHEN WE EXPLORE THEM TOGETHER.

Groups create opportunities not only to learn from a facilitator, but to recognize ourselves through conversation, shared experience, and the perspectives of others.

Workshops and groups offer focused spaces for exploring particular themes through a combination of psychological education, reflection, conversation, and experiential practice.

Unlike a retreat, these experiences may take place over a few hours, a full day, a weekend, or a series of gatherings—creating accessible ways to engage the work without stepping completely away from everyday life.

Depending on the focus, participants may encounter contemplative practices, guided reflection, somatic awareness, creative or symbolic exploration, structured exercises, small-group conversation, and opportunities to translate what is learned into everyday life.

Possible areas of exploration
RELATIONSHIPS & INTIMACY
Communication, connection, relational patterns, vulnerability, and intentional partnership.

MEN & MASCULINITY
Identity, relationships, emotional life, fatherhood, sexuality, purpose, and evolving expressions of masculinity.

CONSCIOUSNESS & INTEGRATION
Exploring meaningful, non-ordinary, contemplative, or psychedelic experiences through psychologically grounded reflection and integration.
CREATIVITY & EXPRESSION
Working with imagination, creative blocks, symbolic material, and the process of bringing something internal into form.

CONTEMPLATIVE & EMBODIED PRACTICE
Meditation, breath, awareness, movement, and other practices that invite experience beyond intellectual understanding alone.

TRANSITIONS & PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION
Identity, change, meaning, life direction, and navigating the spaces between who we have been and who we are becoming.
A GROUP DOES NOT REQUIRE
EVERYONE TO HAVE THE SAME STORY.

The shared experience comes from bringing different lives, perspectives, and questions into a space organized around curiosity, respect, and meaningful exploration.

That sentence is important because it keeps the page inclusive and avoids making groups sound like everyone is expected to disclose deeply or have identical experiences.

DESTINATION EXPERIENCES

PLACE AS PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

SOMETIMES WHERE WE ARE
CHANGES HOW WE LISTEN.

Certain places invite us into a different relationship with time, attention, nature, culture, and ourselves.

Destination experiences bring the work into environments intentionally chosen for their capacity to support reflection, connection, exploration, and renewal.

Away from familiar surroundings, we may notice different things. Our routines loosen. Attention shifts. Nature, architecture, culture, history, and landscape can become part of the larger context in which an experience unfolds.

Transforma destination experiences may bring together elements of retreat, contemplative practice, psychological exploration, embodied experience, creative inquiry, community, and integration—shaped thoughtfully around the character of a particular place.

The intention is not simply to travel somewhere beautiful.

It is to engage place as part of an intentional experience.
PLACE
The environment becomes part of the container.
Natural landscapes, architecture, cultural context, and the rhythms of a place can influence how we experience ourselves and what receives our attention.

PRESENCE
Travel can interrupt the automatic.
Leaving familiar routines can create opportunities to slow down, become more attentive, and encounter experience with greater curiosity.

PARTICIPATION

We do not simply visit a place. We enter into relationship with it.
Destination experiences can invite thoughtful engagement with the environment, community, history, and traditions that make a location distinct.
THE DESTINATION IS NOT THE TRANSFORMATION.
IT CREATES A DIFFERENT SETTING IN WHICH TRANSFORMATION MAY BE EXPLORED.

What we encounter somewhere else can become meaningful through the way we carry it home.

NOT SURE WHERE TO BEGIN?

YOUR PATH DOESN'T HAVE TO BEGIN WITH AN EXPERIENCE

THERE ARE DIFFERENT WAYS
TO BEGIN THE WORK.

An experience can create a meaningful opening. But transformation can begin in many places.

You may be looking for ongoing psychological support, a more future-focused coaching relationship, help preparing for or integrating a psychedelic experience, practices for deeper exploration, or an opportunity to step into a more immersive experience.
You do not need to decide which path is right before you begin.

Explore the different ways of working with Transforma Therapy, or reach out and we can begin with a conversation about what you are looking for.
